USA! USA! USA! Finally got a 1-0 victory over Italy. They were without Mario Balotelli but a win is a win. Clint Dempsey scored the only goal and Tim Howard a long with our defense held up the Italian barrage of goals to finally defeat Italy for the first time in US history.

But we need to stop saying things like “but they weren’t playing their best” or “well, this player was missing”. Don’t self-deprecate and talk this down. If they weren’t at their best, that means that we were better than they were on that day, and that is saying something. Be proud Yanks!
